Catching up...

Okay...here it goes, I'm going to cram all the time I've slacked off into one post...LOL!

As life goes, of course it doesn't slow down. We have been super busy, at least it seems that way.

We put up the trampoline...

For some reason I have more pictures of my boys sleeping than I have of them doing anything else. It must be because they are so peaceful...and quiet! ;0)

See??

We've been boating a few times this summer...ahhhh...boating. :0)

Steve got a promotion and is now a manager. Yay!

And I have been crazy busy with cakes. :0) Which is good, but having 2 and sometimes 3 a week gets a little tiring...luckily I have had a break for a couple weeks.

We got Lagoon passes (thanks Mom and Dad!!) and so our summer is sure to be jam packed!!

We've celebrated a few birthdays at our house, Jarekhi turned 2, Coen turned 4 and Steven turned 27! My birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks along with our 7 year wedding anniversary!! Time flies! Pretty much, we are just living life. We have fun and love every minute of it ~for the most part~! :0)

I'll try to update more often so I don't get in trouble anymore.

5 game road trip is finally over!!

The Jazz winning streak came to an end when the Atlanta Hawks beat us 100-93.
We went into triple over time (it was way intense!) against the Miami Heat on the 14th and came up short, 129-140.
The next day, we headed into Orlando. We had a tough game. Coach Sloan was ejected from the game after 2 technical fouls were called on him only 2 minutes and 12 seconds into the game! We took a hard loss from the Magic 87-105. It sucked!
But our awesomely super Jazz will be back to winning tomorrow night at home against Washington.
Go Jazz!! :0)

Utah Jazz at 11 wins in a row!!

How 'bout that Jazz!!
Utah Jazz winning streak at 11! Going for 12, Jazz vs. Pacers tomorrow night!!
Steve and I went to the Jazz vs. Thunder game on January 30. We sat 7th row just behind the Jazz bench! Talk about exciting!!

Of course, this was before Boozer came back, hence the fact that he's in street clothes looking oh, so handsome right along with D Will and Memo.

Mehmet Okur just sends this super friendly vibe. He looks around the crowd, makes eye contact, smiles and just really has a way of drawing your attention and making you feel happy and energized. Steve and I were surprised when we felt the same way! Memo is just awesome!

Yes, Memo is looking right at us, of course it's because we were the coolest people there. :0) Actually it's probably because he could hear me hyperventilating! It was just so exciting!

Needless to say, we had a blast and wish we were rich and could afford these seats as season ticket holders!! Oh, and of course we won that night. :0)

Go Jazz! Beat the pacers! Keep the streak going!

New Year's Eve!!

We had a blast on New Year's Eve at our house. We had some of our funnest friends over and played Rock Band and a game called Quelf. Quelf?? What's that? Well, it's pretty much as strange as it sounds. Here are some pics to make my point...
This is our good friend Jason Casper. He and his wife, Vannessa, are the wonderful people that brought this crazy game into our lives. In this picture, Jason had drawn a card that gave him the instructions to make an umbrella and put it over his head and say "rain, rain, go away". LOL.

These are our friends, the Huffs. Jason and Amy, aka, J-Huff and A-Huff. :0)

And this is what the Huffs look like on Quelf. J-Huff is singing "Hotel California" while flapping his arms like an eagle, and A-Huff was trying to get us to guess that she was a one-legged frog. Can you believe that someone actually got that??
This is J-Huff's cousin, Derick. He drew a card that told him he had to yell at the game pieces like a drill Sargent every time any of them moved! He had us all rolling every turn!!
You may have noticed in some of these pictures that J-Huff has an oddly square chest...no, he wasn't born that way, he drew a card that said he had to keep the box there the whole game...he was caressing the box like it was his baby, couldn't have been any funnier!! After Quelf we went down to play Rock Band until it was midnight. Then, of course, we ran around outside and probably woke up our older neighbors...oops! We had fun, that's all that matters, right??

Look what we got!!

So we sold the lumina, it was an awesome car, but man it loved to gobble up gas!! So we were on a quest to find a car that would be cheap for Steven to drive to work, and that would hold up for quite some time. In my search, I ran across a Volkswagon Beetle. I thought, "oh man, that's cute and I've always wanted one...but no way that Steve would go for that" Well, I showed him and to my surprise, he was stoked about the idea!! So, the decision was made, that was what we wanted, now we just had to find one that ran well and needed minimal work. Look what we found!!

It's a 1972 VW Super Beetle!! I absolutely love it!! It's a blast to drive, although we haven't been able to drive it much. My brother and my dad have been over a lot to help Steven work on it, changing out the brake system and getting it ready to be registered.

The first drive in the Bug! Steve just took it around the neighborhood to see how everything was working. Isn't it cute?? Over time, we plan to fully restore it so that when our boys are old enough they'll have a ton of fun driving it around. :0) Anyway, I was way excited about it and thought I'd share that with you all.

Bridger

Bridger-bot has the kindest heart. At only 6 years old, he would gladly give you anything he has to make you happy. Literally, he is only happy if he is making others feel good or proud. He is always ready and willing to help, and is a great big bother.

Bridger is in kindergarten and his teachers and principal just rave about him. He has a speech delay and he gets speech therapy at school and at the Scottish rite learning center. He is such a hard worker, and is improving every day. :0) He is thrilled to be learning how to read, and write everyone letters! His favorite subject though, is math. He is a whiz when it comes to numbers. He can add single and double digits. The final score to a Jazz game a couple months ago was 98 and 94. When we told him, he was so thrilled that we won by 4. Not even 2 minutes later he came in to tell us that 94 plus 98 is 192. He just figured it out in his head, and and had a whole explanation on how he got the answer. He loves to add, and so whenever he gets the chance, he asks for numbers to add together. Of course, he is sometimes wrong, that's only ususally when he has an audience. But more often than not, he gets it right on. :0)

No one could could ask for a sweeter boy, we are very lucky and blessed that he came to us.

Coen

A.K.A. Coenator is 3 and a half years old. Coen has been described as our tease! He most definately has 2 very opposite sides of his personality!! He is always the first one to get upset or snap at someone. But he is also the the first to come sit under a blanket to cuddle. He loves attention and also loves to do everything himself. He's full of energy and is always good for a laugh!

He spends a lot of his time with his mousey. The little blue stuffed animal that he fell in love with when he was 6 months old. Okay, so it's not exactly the same one, Mousey has had to be replaced...twice. He's a retired ty animal, so it's going to be pretty hard to find another one if we ever need to! So we always panic a little when Coen says he doesn't know where he is!!

Coen loves giving hugs and kisses and never fails to let you know how much he loves you. He is happy and silly and definately keeps us on our toes!!

Jarekhi

Jarekhi is 19, almost 20 months old. He is the baby of many names! He gets called Khi most of the time, but he also answers to Khi-J (his middle name is James) Khi-Khi, Khi-B, JJ, Jarek, James, And of course, Jarekhi. I guess we will just have to wait and see what he prefers when he's older. :0)

Khi is our eater!! He loves to eat. Every weekend, either Saturday or Sunday, Steven makes a big breakfast for us all, Jarekhi eats way more than anyone else. He eats 4 full size pancakes, 2 eggs and bacon. After he's done, he's begging everyone else for their food. He walks around saying, "bite, bite", "more, more", "want some", "pleeeese". He is so cute!!

He's such a good boy, usually a pretty easy going, happy camper. He loves rag quilts. You know? The ones that are frayed between the squares? He will drop everything he's doing to lay down with a rag quilt, even if it is just for a second. :0) He's learning and growing so quickly, and is happy to be doing whatever his older brothers are.
